After the Storm was born out of years of pastoral ministry—walking with couples through seasons of pain, confusion, restoration, and growth. It exists because marriages matter, and because healing requires more than good intentions. It requires space, structure, and care.
This work is rooted in the belief that couples don’t need perfection—they need presence, guidance, and grace.

Within After the Storm, Dr. Smith provides vision, teaching, and pastoral oversight. He supports churches and facilitators by offering guidance, training, and occasional leadership for select intensives or retreats—always in partnership with local leaders.
